Important Thank-You's
Michel Jubinville
Without my brother Michel's contributions, this page would not be possible. It is his contagious passion for genealogy that was the creative force behind the texts you'll find on this site. For your research and patience, all my thanks.
The Jubenville Clan (Southern Ontario)
Credit where credit is due... to the Jubenville clan of Southern Ontario. Particularly my correspondent Darlene Jubenville for her interest in the family surname and her uncle Donald (who I haven't had the privilege to meet or speak to yet) for his work in researching the lines in Southern Ontario and sharing their GEDCOM files with yours truly.
Also Scott Jubenville, who created a GEDCOM database of his grandfather Duncan's tireless collection on descendants who share our surname. A welcome addition to our own database.
Mrs. Thérèse Pinard (née Jubinville)
The "Grand Lady" of Jubinville genealogy dedicated 10 years of her life searching through all available parish records collecting data on Jubinville descendants. The result: a hard-cover book in 2 volumes containing over 500 pages on Jubinville descendants.
Without a doubt, the most wonderful heritage for her many children, grandchildren, and all North American descendants who share the Jubinville surname. It was my great privilege to meet Mrs. Pinard and her husband Rodolphe. I wish to thank them personally and publicly for their amazing contribution to French-Canadian genealogy in general and Jubinville genealogy in particular. They have both since past and if any of their descendant are here reading this, know that this website would never have existed without them.

It's not over yet—I want to hear from you! Please drop me a line. I'd love to hear family stories and add new lines of descendants to the Jubinville family tree.

The Dequier Connection (Manitoba & France)
I'm not only interested in the Jubinville surname. My mother's surname is DEQUIER. She was born in Manitoba while her parents had both immigrated there from a small village in the French Alps: Jarrier.
This village is located near the town of St-Jean-de-Maurienne in the Savoie province of France. Jarrier is a VERY small village, so everyone with roots there is considered family. Genealogy in the region: généalogie de Savoie.
