Welcome to the Jubinville Surname Research Website

Did you know that if your surname is Jubenville, Jubinville, or Jubainville, your ancestor is Michel Jubinville, born in Paris in 1671?

Michel came to the province of Québec (then New France) as a French marine soldier, probably in 1689. When he married in Montreal in 1706, he declared his father was still living in Paris working as a printer. Michel had three sons who survived into adulthood and passed on this name to thousands of us across all of North America.

I hope this site contributes to putting together a family tree showing all descendants of Michel Jubinville who share his surname. I hope you adopt this as The Official Jubinville Web Site. As such, I welcome your input and ideas.

Jubinvilles: Stand up and be counted!

Please submit your name, place of birth, and genealogical details. Ideally, include your father’s name/birth date and your grandfather’s info, going back as far as possible. Names of siblings, aunts, and uncles also help for proper identification.

I am also very interested in family histories—the "why" and "how" families emigrated from Montreal to places like New England, Ontario, Ohio, and Florida.
